What are the ears (raised wings) on the Crescendo 2 Bendable Vibrator for? Do they vibrate?

There are 2 powerful vibration motors under the ears (raised wings) - one at each end of it. The ears transfer the vibrations from these motors along its edges to produce a distributed rumble. Being soft you can press them against your erogenous zones to get a very different sensation.
