A boric acid suppository is considered safe to use. Some possible side effects from the use of this vaginal suppository are:

• Watery vaginal discharge (a panty liner is recommended for this)
• Mild burning (if the suppository isn’t inserted deeply)
• Do not use this product if you have open wounds
