Side effects are usually mild and can include:
- Minor skin irritation or redness
- Allergic reaction
- Infection, pain, and/or fever
Any surgical tape or adhesive skin dressing may irritate the skin upon removal, depending on your skin’s sensitivity. This redness or slight irritation will typically clear during the 12-24 hour break we recommend between applications. Some irritation and redness is normal around the edges of the dressing. If this happens, reposition it slightly higher or lower to avoid direct contact with the irritation when applying the next dressing. If you are using embrace® after a surgery and your scar starts to open or ooze, or if you have an allergic reaction, remove the dressing and consult your physician. If you have questions or experience any of the above side effects, we can help. Please call 855-NOSCAR2 (855.667.2272) for immediate product support.
